So why did we choose the name Altimate Images all those years ago. Simple, back in the olden days of 56k dial up internet and no websites Yellow Pages, or Yell as it is now called, was the main directory that people located businesses they were looking for. Many have asked if Altimate is a play on words for Alter Mate or 'a friend at the alter'. No, that was never the intention. The name was a derivative of Altered Images (the new wonderful things we could do with a computer) and Ultimate.
