The Designers. Business partners Ailsa and Wendy both have creative backgrounds. Ailsa holds a BA honours degree in woven textiles and a diploma from the Interior Design Institute. Working both in the fashion industry as a designer and buyer for some of the largest fashion retailers in the country and then in interior design, means having a wealth of experience in fabrics, colour and texture combined with the knowledge of how to make them work together for great effect. Always wanting her own business and with a portfolio of happy clients to her credit, Ailsa, in partnership with Wendy, bought Amersham Interiors in 2012. As with Ailsa, Wendy also spent years in the fashion industry learning about fabrics, colour and style and how they work together in so many ways for a variety of effects. During this time she developed a passion for interior design while being asked to work privately on various interior design projects and creating beautiful schemes. Over time Wendy found she had a talent and liking for working with contractors who would implement her interiors schemes which covered the range of buildings trades and Wendy was then able to carry out complete projects from conception and design through to installation.
