Art Academy East

The need for a creative centre in Mid-Norfolk led to the opening of Art Academy East. The purpose was to provide engage students and break down the barriers of learning within the arts and to structure achievable, skills based courses with a strong foundation in technical ability.

Art Academy East was founded by Norfolk based fine artist and teacher Claire Frances Smith. Now working alongside ‘The College of West Anglia', the Academy has grown in size and has recently opened a new studio premises to offer further courses and qualifications within the creative industry. The Academy offers a dedicated space for creative learning with studio spaces with facilities for painting, printing textiles and design. It houses facilities to teach the local and broader community a variety of art courses from leisure classes to City & Guilds accredited Diplomas.
