Founded in 2007, the Advanced Vehicle Centre formed to combine automotive skills and experience and create an independent garage that customers can trust implicitly and recommend to friends, family and business associates. Darren, our business owner, entered the motor trade in 1988. His career began at a Ford main dealership and during his time as a young YTS trainee, Darren attended classes at Crawley College where he obtained his City & Guilds qualifications after three years. After completing his training, Darren moved to small, friendly independent garage and reinforced his knowledge by working on a wider range of vehicle makes and models. The same position gave him more opportunities to interact with clients on a face-to-face basis. Another move followed in 1998 when Darren moved to a larger company to gain more skills and experience. It was here that Darren first encountered engine diagnostics as the technology behind modern vehicles advanced. Darren became aware of the importance of investing in people around this time. To the present day, he continues to attend training courses several times a year and frequently invests in developing the knowledge of his highly experienced team. Darren remains fully committed to enhancing the company’s service and knowledge capabilities by investing into diagnostic technology as a priority. His team understands all aspects of engine management and the procedures main dealerships use.
