Prior to setting up BPD, Ben Parsons was part of a design team that won several RIBA, Civic Trust and CABE awards and commendations. Ben has a reputation for delivering high quality projects and has an excellent working relationship with local authority planning departments. BPD has worked regularly with developer clients on new-build and conversion projects and has a broad understanding of adopted and emerging planning policy including listed building policy through numerous schemes working with historic and listed buildings. BPD has also undertaken several community projects involving public funding, and the practice works closely with local authority primary and secondary schools. BPD is committed to using materials and methods of construction that embody ecological and environmental best practice. The importance of construction cost control and management is understood and efficient design strived for. BPD has an in-depth understanding of the Building Regulations and extensive experience of Zurich and NHBC requirements.
