I moved to Canvey in March 2002 and registered as a childminder in April 2003. A list of my qualifications and certificates can be found on this website, and copies are available upon request.My husband, Stephen Happe, decided to team up with me in May 2015 to accommodate our expanding childminding family. We also currently have our 18 year old son living at home with us, studying for his A levels, then will be studying away at university. Our last OFSTED inspection was in January 2016 and we received an “outstanding” grade. A copy of our inspection report can be viewed upon request.We run our business from an annex which is attached to our house. The annex is fully self-contained and provides a play room for the children and also their own bathroom facilities. We have a large range of age and stage appropriate resources which are accessible to the children at all times. Messy play is carried out regularly. There is access to our large garden from the annex and the garden is fully enclosed. We have lots of play equipment in the garden and the children are encouraged to play outdoors on a regular basis.
