Is it your eyes? Or is it your camera setup that has got a problem? We are clad to say its not your eyes. It is the lack of objective testing of CCTV systems that results in images like the one top left. If these cameras had been tested against known standards to internationally accepted practices on a regular basis then corrective action could have been taken to avoid the embarrassment of having to admit that you have been paying for a CCTV system that produces images that are not fit for purpose. Modern forward thinking management looks at mitigating risk and preventive maintenance to ensure organisation and equipment, does not fail us. This is never more important than when dealing with security issues, CCTV systems need regular objective testing to ensure they are fit for purpose. When was the last time you tested yours? What method did you use? Have you a bench mark to test against? Do you have the records to validate the tests were undertaken?
