Kate quickly built the business up and soon realised that she would need help in the salon to cater for the high demand. So the journey began to find like-minded, professional, caring and dog loving staff. The team now consists of 4 full time employees, including Kate, grooming from 40 to 70 dogs per week.We get extremely busy through the summer and Christmas seasons and a waiting list of 8 weeks is not uncommon. The best way to ensure an appointment is to pre-book, choosing a day and time of convenience.This demand for our services does often pose the question Why don’t we expand into bigger premises”? Well we base our success on providing a personal, caring, grooming service and having a small team to support this. We feel that these qualities could be diluted if we took on larger premises with more staff. However, we are now expanding the business in terms of services we provide.As the grooming industry is un-regulated there are big differences in standards and pricing. However the Pet Industry Federation is now developing its own Quality Assurance standards. This is welcome news for us and we are about to sign up!
