Dance In Action

This highly recommended dance school welcomes students from age three years. Students follow the British Association of Teachers of Dancing (BATD) grade syllabus in Ballet, Tap, Jazz and Modern. Contemporary/Lyrical and Commercial dance is offered under BATD Freestyle branch. Students can take grade examination to vocational level. Students who show aptitude can undertake further training/examination to become a registered BATD Teacher. NB BATD is an organisation validated by the Council of Dance Education and Training. Undertaking grade syllabus work requires approximately 14 months of weekly or twice weekly attendance. Consideration is given to students wishing to attend class midway through a grade. Please contact the school to establish the possibility of attendance in such a circumstance. As well as examination opportunity, students are encouraged to participate in performance related events such as school productions at Eden Court Empire Theatre, Strictly Inverness, Galas, Workshops and Masterclasses. In addition, students of age 13 years and above can audition annually to become part of DIAS Dance Company. Dance Company students attend additional training.
