The aim of osteopathy is to normalise the structure and function of the body and ensure the systems are working harmoniously together so enabling the body to work to its optimum, reduce pain and discomfort and promote the body's own self healing mechanism. Osteopaths achieve this by using a broad range of techniques to improve mobility of the joints and relieve tension in the tissues. This will also then enhance the blood and nerve supply to the tissues.
