Our structure enables people of different ages and abilities to train, whether your goals are Club Karate or England Squad. Children, adults, beginners, returners and experienced - you'll find your place at Harpenden JKA. That's easy to explain! Karate offers 5 key things we all need in our lives: Self-Defence, Fitness, Confidence, Respect and Enjoyment. And that's what we want to share with you. We take our karate seriously - and that includes the fun and enjoyment we all get out of being members of Harpenden JKA. We're an open and welcoming club, properly and efficiently run with the interests, welfare and enjoyment of our members students as our top priority. We practise Authentic Japanese karate through JKA, our governing body and one of the most influential Shotokan Karate organisations in the world. Sensei Miranda Price is an experienced instructor of both junior and senior karate students. The club benefits hugely from her competition success and experience as an England Squad member.
