Your boiler is the main component of your domestic central heating system. This is the first step to Heating Healthy. There are many other components of your heating system that contribute to the price you pay to your gas supplier. It's not just your boiler. If you have a poorly insulated cylinder that loses its heat faster than a modern day double lagged cylinder, then your boiler is burning more gas than it should to re-heat the same water over and over. This is the same with radiators.

If you have old radiators full of sludge then the boiler will be burning more gas to heat the inefficient system to provide the comfort you require in the winter months. Fortunately solutions exist for the majority of underperforming domestic heating systems and it doesn't always result in a direct replacement of the boiler - but it is an option to consider.
