Owner Kevin Howarth has been in the carpet industry now for some 22 years and relishes the challenges of owning and managing his own retail outlet. “I ensure that my overheads are kept as low as possible by carrying out many aspects of the business on my own,” says Kevin. “I measure and quote for all jobs, often calling to see customers before and after the shop has opened. I like to oversee things personally from concept to completion. In this way, I can guarantee the highest professional levels of craftsmanship and the ultimate in excellent personal service. I am fortunate to have a team of fitters, whom I trust implicitly to carry out the work to my exacting standards. I make sure that my prices are very competitive whilst never compromising on quality. People are sometimes surprised by my prices; I think the lovely premises bring an expectation that I’ll be expensive, but that’s not the case at all.”
