There was a time when architecture was the exclusive province of the very rich, but with the advent of foreign travel and television design programmes, more and more people are aspiring to creativity in their homes and places of business. However, much more needs to be done and we are regularly disappointed by companies who prescribe standardised solutions to bespoke problems.

The philosophy of J J & J Hartley is to remove some of the mystique from the design and build processes by liaising with clients to explore their own ideas and then meld them with our own to produce lively, invigorating designs with an element of visual surprise.

J J & J Hartley's ethos is to make the whole design and build process, however modest the scheme, an enjoyable and affordable one, from inception to completion, and to communicate with sufficient progress reports and updates so that the client has maximum involvement.
