James Smellie Ltd, originally formed in 1893 by the late James Smellie M.B.E., J.P., still produces fireplace products of the highest quality to this day. Handcrafted by skilled workers at our premises in Halesowen, near Birmingham in the West Midlands, U.K. Traditional methods are still employed to produce a large range of bespoke and standard items, from canopies, fire frames, mantles and hearths, to ash pans, liners, register plates and gathers. The quality of our products is second to none.

Much of our business is to produce bespoke products to our customers designs, and we are always willing to help, or offer suggestions, if you need assistance. At James Smellie Ltd, you will find our service to be prompt and reliable, as we understand the needs of our customers, and we always do our utmost to meet their requirements. Anything that's made from steel, brass, copper or cast and is intended to go in a fireplace can probably be supplied by us.
