As well as being professional, I am a very caring person who really loves her job! All the children in my care know that they are valued. I regularly praise them and feel it's important for a childminder to be a good role model and to value each child’s individuality. I think social skills are very important and encourage the children to take turns and say “please" and "thank you”. I have always enjoyed good, open and honest relationships with all parents. I engage in a wide variety of activities with the children in my care as I think that it very important that the children have fun! Through these activities they also get to know other Childminders quite well, which has the advantage of providing reassuring back up cover, available to parents during their normal Childminders holiday and sickness. I provide healthy snacks for the children as required.
