Jireh Cakes

Jireh Cakes began as a result of me having my first born son in May 2005. I had always loved baking, as well as being creative from a very young age. I went through school loving Art and pursued it at G.C.S.E Level and A-Level obtaining A grades in each. I went on to University and studied Architecture. I knew after two and half years of completing the course that it wasn't what I wanted to pursue as a career and so graduated after three years. After I graduated I got married and began to work in the civil service and discovered that I was pregnant with John.

From the moment I had John I knew I wanted to be a stay at home mum and work from home. In March I started buying some bakery equipment and began experimenting and practicing with various shapes and ideas till I became confident enough to tell my friends and family what I was doing.

I was aware that I wanted my cakes to not only taste great but to look different and more appealing than what supermarkets and other cake shops could offer.
