Kates Guest House

Kate's so proud of this family run B&B that she put her name on it! Established in 1990 it became known as 'Kates' and thinking that it was a great idea we kept the name! It has now been running sucessfully for over 25 years. Recently re-furbished bedrooms in everyones favourite 'blue and white', each bedroom has flatscreen T.V. with DVD & CD, with WI-FI throughout, powerfull hairdryers, Tea/coffee facilities with an iron and board available for your convienience. Wanting to bring out a homely atmosphere of the bygone era when comfort was the key, Kate chose traditional furnishings, for the dining room.

Striiped floorboards, Pitch pine church pews, a 7 ft farmhouse table and dresser dominate with a sofa and overstuffed highback chairs flanking the sandstone open log fireplace, creating a cosy seating area. Kates love of the area is reflected in the photographs of The Borders, Lakes, Solway, and Pennines displayed throughout the house.
