Aiming to gain officially recognized qualifications in interpretation, in September 2008 I undertook Diploma in Public Service Interpreting at the Bedfordshire University and in June 2009 I took the exam run by Chartered Institute of Linguists. Finally in September 2009 I obtained the Diploma in Public Service Interpreting which is a nationally recognised award and provides evidence of the ability to interpret between providers and users of the public services. Furthermore, I am listed on the National Register of Public Service Interpreters (NRPSI). I also have a current enhanced Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) clearance.
