Each of us has over 20 years experience: Paul has worked as an abstractor for an online information service, as a staff translator both for the UK Civil Service (Department of the Environment/ Department of Transport) in London and for ICI Chemicals & Polymers Ltd. at their Wilton site in North East England and, finally, after nine years of staff experience, as a freelance translator since 1993, while Charlotte has gathered her wide-ranging experience of technical and patents translation working entirely as a freelance, mainly directly for patent attorneys in private practice in subject areas covering mechanical engineering, materials testing, process equipment and biomedical devices.
