The practice was set up in 2002, after the criminal department of an older established York firm separated to concentrate solely on this specialist area of practice.

The firm has enormous experience of defending all aspects of criminal and regulatory prosecutions, and also undertakes prosecutions for individuals and organisations. Help is provided at the Police Station, Magistrates court, Crown Court, and Court of Appeal.

There are four partners and two solicitors, and a large support staff, performing exclusively criminal work. We regularly deal with serious criminal matters in York, and North Yorkshire, and also nationally, as well as overseas military work. All of our lawyers are able to represent you at the police station and magistrates court, and three of the partners are Higher Court Advocates, and can represent you in the Crown Court, and Court of Appeal.
