Recreational Duty grade asphalt on balconies or steps for use by foot traffic, a covering of promenade tiles or decking material should be used on balconies to protect the asphalt from any point loading.

The Kemper system is a cold liquid wet on wet waterproofing membrane with a strong tear resistant polyester fleece, bonds easily to most building materials and substrates creating a tough seamless, self terminating membrane which in certain cases can eliminate the need for mechanical fixings or flashings. Kemper waterproofing systems are used on a variety of applications: Flat Roofs, Balconies, Terraces, Warm Deck Roofs, Green Roofs, Water Features, Fountains and Car Parks.
