A Building Survey known formally as a full Structural Survey is a detailed and in-depth inspection of a property. It is not a basic Mortgage Lenders Valuation Report. Which? Magazine and the Council for Mortgage Lenders advise that you obtain a Survey before you purchase a property and not just rely on a Lenders Valuation which is not a Building Survey.
