Milestones Ceremonies

Milestones are markers on a roadside which indicate the right direction and distance to the next marker so that the traveller can measure where s/he is along the way: thus they serve as a significant frame of reference. They give reassurance and security and affirm that s/he is on the right path. As human beings we are all travellers on our own personal journey through life and doing our best to navigate the route. Milestones ceremonies can offer us all those moments of significance and reassurance along the way, be they semi-religious, spiritual or completely humanistic.
