As the former head of the physiotherapy department at the 'Thoraxklinik der LVA Baden' in Heidelberg, Germany, I moved together with my husband to the UK at the end of 1989. After working for one year on the orthopaedic wards at Bedford Hospital, I set up as a single practitioner in independent practice. Ouse Valley Physiotherapy Practice was established in 1991 in the rural village of Sharnbrook in North-Bedfordshire. The practice offers a clinic room, domiciliary visits, courses and a locum service.
