Peter Smythe Transport Training

Peter Smythe Transport Training Ltd can trace it's roots back to 1947! Originating as Forest Driving School, it was the second driving school car operator in the Mansfield area. During the 1970's, Forest diversified to include PSV driver training. At the same time, Peter Smythe was learning his skills in the coaching and haulage industries. In 1984 the school was purchased by Peter Smythe to provide a part time income whilst his wife went to college. Being Peter, the situation quickly developed with a truck joining the bus almost immediately and by the late 80's became a major voice in the transport training industry.

In the nineties a large motorcycle school was added; in 2004 this was sold to the Senior Motorcyle Instructor who is still trading as Bikeskool and can be contacted on 01623 556419. Chrismas 2007 we moved to our brand new training centre in Mansfield Woodhouse - adjacent to the railway station.
