He has grown up with retrievers and terriers as part of the family. Following school Simon attended Rodbaston Agricultural College and completed BTec, NVQ and City and Guilds qualifications in animal care and pet shop management. Simon later went onto work for a local veterinary practice as a veterinary nurse.
