Professor Paradox

Although Professor Paradox was always a clown, he only made it his full-time career 1987. Since then he has been in demand at arts festivals, small theatres, village halls, and has performed at events throughout the UK and beyond. His children’s party show has become a legend. He’s appeared in TV dramas, live on stage with the English National Ballet, and featured in a documentary with John Nettles. And is the author of several children’s books (see stories page). He is an accomplished singer songwriter and also performs as a one man band (One Man Banned), and is a qualified teacher of the Alexander Technique. Although true clowns are born not made, Professor Paradox underwent training in performance, movement and clowning, with a range of well established fools and clowns including Mike Sheppard, founder of Kneehigh, John lee, Johnathan Kay, and Jos Houben of Theatre de Complicite. His shows incorporate magic, mime, slapstick, audience participation, music, dance, storytelling and lots of laughter. Just so you know, he doesn’t do discos, bouncy castles, balloon modelling, or Punch and Judy.
