Recognising the importance of how a space will be used and that the architecture is only ever enhanced by a carefully considered and sensitive approach to the interior, Rachel’s designs bring a room to life with gentle colours, wonderful fabrics old and new, unusual lighting and antique and designed furniture. Rachel’s interiors have a creative flavour to them; she is married to the artist Francis Hamel and procuring artwork for her projects is something Rachel really enjoys. Rachel has a passion for natural fabrics and hand blocked prints as well as lamps bases and lamp shades which are made in house to suit each project. She is known for her beautiful curtains which are all hand made by her wonderful team of curtain makers. Rachel has many contacts in the antiques world and she especially likes sourcing unusual antique furniture as well as commissioning carefully designed bespoke pieces
