Ray Gardner Landscape Design offers a friendly and professional garden design service to suit all budgets. Ray Gardner first started working on domestic garden design in 1996 and with a wealth of knowledge in plant material , turf management, hard landscaping and together with a natural flair for design has been designing and building beautiful gardens ever since. Hi, my name is Ray Gardner and here is some background information on me. I’ve 25 years experience as a horticulturist, starting my career back in 1987. Initially I started out as a green keeper for a well know County Durham golf course. I worked as a green keeper for 10 years, whilst in employment with the golf course I studied horticulture at Durham College of Agriculture and Horticulture. I studied for 4 years in horticulture, green keeping turf management and then went on to do a further 2 years in business management skills. Having enjoyed a very successful career in green keeping I decided to use the in depth knowledge I had obtained over the years to change career. Using my knowledge of plant material, turf management, golf course construction and my natural flair for design, I decided to pursue a career in domestic garden design.
