We will endeavour to undertake work worldwide subject to contract. Rooney Stone is a family business set in the heart of the Mourne Mountains in Ireland. My family have been in the stonemasonry business for over a hundred and twenty years, and are renowned for the superior quality and craftsmanship of our family stonemasons down through the years. My uncle, James Rooney, was commissioned to undertake the construction of the JFK Memorial in Co Wexford, Ireland. He was also commissioned to construct one of the largest Celtic crosses in Ireland approximately 60 years ago. Cut from a solid block of granite, the cross resides in County Down, near the town of Rathfriland.
