Ruth Mary Jewellery

Their route into the jewellery industry was by no means an ordinary one. Ruth, a self-taught jeweller, studied Chemistry, before her passion for making jewellery led to the founding of the brand that takes her name. Paul's background lies in art and illustration, which lends itself very well to their ethos of jewellery as wearable art. Their diverse experience and skill set feed into their designs, resulting in strikingly original statement jewellery, utilising refreshingly unique, unexpected methods and materials.

Our brand bears my name, and was ultimately borne of my passion for jewellery with a tangibly different voice and a fresh, bold aesthetic.

Above all else, I am a designer, and my background lies in illustration. The leap from illustration to jewellery did not span quite as wide a chasm as you may think; the beauty of being a practising designer is having such an array of disciplines to apply one's skill set to.
