A consultation and assessment enables me to look at the bigger picture, ascertaining the cause of the tension, which is very often not the site of pain, and allows me to use a variety of techniques to help improve and restore the muscle function and range of movement. I also provide simple advice for post treatment self care, which can help you maintain muscular function. A keen runner myself, I became interested in remedial massage therapy after sustaining several niggles. When these almost prevented me from getting to the start line, and being saved by my own massage therapist, I learnt the importance of understanding your own body, and appreciated that massage was a fundamental part of prehab (self care to avoid injury).
