Shuhari Shotokan Karate Academy

First of all, a very warm welcome to the Shuhari Shotokan Karate Academy (SSKA). We at Shuhari Shotokan Karate Academy(SSKA) train traditional Shotokan Karate which is based on the teachings of Kancho Hirokazu Kanazawa who is the direct student of the founder of karate, master Gichin Funakoshi. We focus on both traditional Shotokan karate training and sports karate. We believe Karate is for everyone regardless of gender, age, ethnicity, physical being etc. Karate is a way of life.

We are affiliated to the Shotokan Karate International Federation(SKIF). Our Instructors are eligible karate coaches, Dan graded (Black belts), have Instructor Indemnity Insurance and hold CRB enhanced disclosure to ensure all students safety. Sensei Katsu is our first aider and he along with Sensei Becky both hold upto date Child Protection certificates.

We have a fully matted area ensuring safety and helping in competition preperation.
