Slater Drum School

As a senior examiner for the music board Rockschool Ltd, Stuart travels both within the UK and overseas examining Grades 1-8 in drums, guitar, bass, piano, keyboard and vocals. The role also assesses Performance and Teaching Diplomas. This work is worldwide, including Europe, Malaysia, Abu Dhabi, Brunei, Dubai, Qatar, Hong Kong, China, India, South Africa and Botswana. He returned to Hong Kong, Malaysia and toured Ireland in 2013, worked through Singapore, Spain and Cyprus plus a further 5 weeks in Malaysia during 2014 and after a tour of Europe in 2015 is due back to SIngapore and touring the Middle East / Mexico in 2016. Estimates are in excess of 5,000 exams to date.He has written Grade 7 and 8 drum tracks for Yamaha Music Board, contributed to Grade 1-8 syllabuses and gradebooks across instruments for Rockschool, and devized / co-devised Specialist Instrument Teaching and Performance Diplomas. Since 2014 he has worked as Syllabus Advisor for Rockschool.
