Internships can be a great way for university students and graduates to get valuable work experience in the area they are interested in. Internships can be classed as a 1 week to 12 month experience in an organisation, which can be paid or unpaid depending on Industry/Sector, and encompass the full range of professions, from Engineering to Accountancy and Marketing to IT. Industrial Placement or a Student Placement is a ‘real’ work experience gained within a ‘real’ working environment that will complement and support the student’s degree qualification and provide mutual benefit to both the employer and the student.
