Strathpeffer is ideally located to provide a good base from which to tour the Northern Highlands. Places of interest include: Ullapool, Gairloch, Dornoch and Drumnadrochit (home of the official Loch Ness Monster exhibition) Historical places of interest: Urquhart Castle, Cawdor Castle, Dunrobin Castle and Culloden Moor battlefield. We are located at the lower loop of the renowned NC 500 route enabling you to tour on the route from East or West. The area around the village provides for excellent walking of varying levels. Maps and details of walks can be supplied. We are happy to provide packed lunches on request and to help with drying of outdoor wear on your return. Strathpeffer also offers good mountain bike terrain along with a local shop for bike hire, route maps and all cycle needs. Strathpeffer also has an 18 hole golf course with 5 other courses within an hours drive.
