The Portsmouth Arms Sawmill

The Portsmouth Arms Sawmill, based near Burrington in North Devon, offers a wide range of pressure treated timber products ranging from Fencing Panels, Featheredge Boards, Posts & Rails, Timber Driveway Gates, Wooden Farm Gates, Larch Cladding, Waney Edge Cladding, Bespoke Sawn Timber and even Logs. Here at the Sawmill we manufacture all products from scratch using home grown timber harvested from sustainable sources throughout Devon Cornwall & Somerset. For most of our products we are able to offer flexability in design and specifiaction and a choice of either Douglas Fir, Larch, Spruce or Hemlock timber in either a rough sawn or planed finish.

We have a well equipped workshop within the Sawmill where our highly skilled craftsmen manufacture all our gates and furniture products using traditional wood working methods to the highest standards. Our onsite Tanalising plant also allows us to supply pressure treated timber in non standard sizes.
