Paula Thomas and father John Fazakerley co-founded Trimmers Maghull on 31 March 1988. John, who trained at John Prides Liverpool, opened his first salon aged 19 on Liverpool’s Westminster Road. His eighth salon and Paula’s first, Trimmers came to life on Stafford Moreton Way and has gone from strength to strength ever since. Hairdressing runs in the family for Paula, who is married to twice nominated Northern Hairdresser of the Year David Thomas. Together, Paula and David run Trimmers Maghull and David Thomas Hairdressing in Preston, with David also managing an Academy to educate salon owners and stylists from all over the country. Hairstyling and colouring excellence with a creative touch has always been the Trimmers way. Salon Manager Debbie Owens Cothliff has achieved the Wella Professional Master Colour Award and the coveted Master Colour Expert. All team members undertake regular in-house training to keep ahead of ever-changing trends in hair and fashion, and deliver exceptional customer service every time.
