Laparoscopy is a minimally invasive technique for performing abdominal surgery whereby a small camera (laparoscope) is introduced into the abdominal cavity through a very small surgical incision in the abdominal wall which results in smaller scars and quick recovery. Laparoscopic surgery is much less invasive therefore less painful making recovery times considerably quicker. Laparoscopic spays can offer up to 65% less post-operative pain than a traditional spay. Other laparoscopic services are available including ovariectomy, cryptorchid castration, gastropexy, cystotomy, biopsy of abdominal organs including liver and pancreas.
