Positive ID Ltd is a biometric security company specialising in the design and provision of security systems based on biometric templates and/or SmartCards. Biometric technology analyses and measures a biological characteristic of an individual to create a unique identifier which can be electronically stored and retrieved for positive identification. The use of such technology is already being used within national identity and airport entry systems. A biometric characteristic can be a fingerprint, iris, voice, hand, face or even an ear lobe.
