Simon started his accountancy career in London at Barnard Marcus Estate Agents, from there he moved onto work for Mindscape International Ltd, Iams UK Ltd and Kurt Geiger Ltd gaining experience across a broad range accounting specialism's in various business sectors.

He left Kurt Geiger as management accountant in 2001 and started at the Ministry of Sound Ltd in South London. He was quickly promoted to Group Financial Controller for the Ministry of Sound Experience Group of Companies where he managed the finances of the famous Ministry of Sound Night Club along with their international and domestic events business culminating in the 2002 New Years Eve party inside the Millennium Dome, for 55,000 people.

After leaving the Ministry of Sound Simon returned to Kurt Geiger on a contract basis dealing with specific projects as directed by the board of directors, as a result of the implementation of these projects a cost saving of over £500,000 in the subsequent financial year was achieved.
