Vicki gained invaluable experience working in London's West End and Hatton Garden, London and The Lanes in Brighton before following her dreams to travel around the world. She returned to the UK and founded the business with the help of The Prince's Youth Business Trust and Sussex Enterprise. It was then that the renowned VJG hallmark was registered, the initials of her maiden name and consequently the business's name.

Trevor Sheppard joined the business in 1999 having previously qualified at Sir John Cass in London in Jewellery, Silversmithing and Allied Crafts. He had gained extensive experience in working in a variety of jewellery workshops and his expertise is the design and technical areas.

The combination of Vicki and Trevor makes for a great team; they pool their professional and practical approach in all areas of the business.
