Weddings By Engagement

Weddings by Engagement is owned by Jennifer Ormond. Here's a little about me, how I came to be involved in weddings and why I'm so passionate about them.

I first became closely involved in the planning and management of weddings during my time as Deputy Restaurant, Conference and Banqueting Manager in a prominent Bournemouth hotel, but my first major career move was to the De Vere Grand Brighton. Initially an Event Manager, the role encompassed everything from small functions to major political conferences and international events. It wasn't very long, however, before my particular enthusiasm for weddings led to what was then a completely unique position. As a Personal Wedding Planner, I used my knowledge and experience to provide a totally seamless service for anyone who wanted to hold their wedding or civil partnership at the hotel.
