Wild Bairns Childminding Service

Children can expect to get involved in loads of fun activities whilst here including building dens and animal homes, crafts, cooking, wood working, sewing, story telling, rhymes and creating games which educate and are loads of fun at the same time. Children can get involved when they like or sit and chill out whenever they wish. We are here to cater for your children and give them the best opportunity at out childminding service. My name is Claire Ferns and I come from an environmental background where I have worked mainly as a ranger for organisations including the Scottish Wildlife Trust, the Woodland Trust and Atholl Estates and worked as a surveyor for the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds and the Forestry Commission. My roles as a ranger involved running events for families, children and school groups to teach them about nature and wildlife. This led me to starting up my own child minding business where I can teach children about environmental education and help improve their skills by incorporating the school curriculum. What better way to learn maths, english, science and all the other essentials than being outside playing games and exploring at the same time? I have a BSc Honours in Zoology and a Masters of Research in Ecology and Environmental Sustainability and am passionate about getting people, especially children, excited about the nature on their doorstep.
